We are excited for our fourth year teaching together as a team! Our focus with our students is to build relationships with each other as individuals and as part of a community. We strive to have fun while we learn and grow!

Communication: Best way to reach teachers and get updates on classroom. Ie, email, weekly newsletter, GoogleClassroom

Fourth grade primarily communicates with parents using email. In addition, we would like basic information (what is currently on our website) on the new 4th grade website. We also all use google classroom.

Homework Expectations

  • Agenda: Our expectation is that your child will independently fill out his or her agenda in class daily and bring it home each night. Any additional homework will be listed in your child's agenda.
  • Reading: 30 minutes of independent reading.
  • Math: This usually consists of a daily practice sheet on the lesson that was taught during class. An expectation in 4th grade is that your child knows their multiplication facts, therefore he/she may be asked to do additional fact practice. Your child will write their exact homework in his/her agenda.
  • Spelling: Practice spelling words along with sorting words into appropriate categories. On Monday, students will get their words. Friday, they will be given a test on their words.

Volunteering:

Online sign up is sent out early in the year. Other opportunities to volunteer are offered through email on an “as needed” basis.
